Obituary of Julie A Thompson
Julie A. (Huff) Thompson , 64, of Montville went home to our Heavenly Father October 16, 2013 after a brief illness. Julie was born in Flagstaff, Maine on May 29, 1949 the daughter of Richard Huff and Alice Beverly Young Grover. In Flagstaff she was the youngest citizen to evacuate the small town in the Fall of 1949 when the Dead River was diverted and the town of Flagstaff was completely flooded by 1950. She attended school in North Anson and received an Associate Degree at the University of Maine in Augusta. She was a very loving person who enjoyed spending time with her family, singing, playing on-line games and watching sports with her husband. She will be greatly missed by all of us. Julie will be affectionately remembered for the many goodies she baked for the Mustang Youth Football League and for the support she gave to the League.
She is predeceased by her father Richard Huff, mother Alice Beverly Young Grover, a son Shane Hinkley, her brother James Huff, sister Carlene Grover and son in law Thomas Sampson. She had a special place in her heart for her grandparents Milton "Monty" Young and Viola Young Pease who raised her.
She is survived by her loving husband of 19 years, James R. Thompson Jr., her children John Hinkley Jr. and companion Vicki Burton of Kingfield, Jeffrey Hinkley and companion Ann D'Amico of Kingfield, James Hinkley and wife Amy of New Portland, Jason Hinkley and wife Gloria of Buxton, her daughter Deanna Sampson of Limington, step daughter Michelle Charette of Kennebunk, step son Christopher Thompson and companion Tabitha Penney of Montville. Her grandchildren Andrew, Kelly, Julia, Autumn, Zachary, Ryan, Kaylee, Joshua, Brayden, Jerrica, Thomas, Teagan, Trent, Chelsea, Sabryna, Darrin and great grandson Lincoln will all miss their "Grammy" very much, many brothers and sisters, nieces and nephews. She is also survived by a special friend since childhood Deirdre Cass.
