Obituary of GILBERT A. MITCHELL

GILBERT A. MITCHELL, 71 of Searsmont, passed away on November 4, 2013 at Eastern Maine Medical Center. He was born on November 10, 1941 in Randolph, Vermont the son of Allen and Eleanor Mitchell. Gilbert drove trucks for State Sand & Gravel and was a long-haul truck driver for many years. He is predeceased by his parents and his spouse, Pauline Menard Mitchell and his son, Douglas Mitchell. Gilbert is survived by his step-father, Sumner Small of Vermont; his children, Anna Nickerson and husband Mark of Searsport, Cecile Seekins and husband Duane of Stockton Springs, Edmund Kemp and wife Kristen of South Carolina, Cindy Beckett and fiance Lloyd Witham of Troy, Mary Mueller and husband Robin of Kennebunk, David Mitchell of Vermont, and Glen Mitchell and significant other, Priscilla of Belfast, siblings Lawrence, Russell, Diane, Paula, Steve, Dale and Scott;: several grandchildren and great grandchildren and his cat, Zimba. Graveside memorial service will be held on Saturday, November 23th at 12 p.m. at Greenwood Cemetery on Thompson Ridge Road in Montville. Arrangements are under the care of Riposta Funeral Home, 182 Waldo Avenue, Belfast.
