Obituary of Joanne Jo Peters

Joanne “Jo” Peters passed away at her home in Knox, Maine on Monday November 11, 2013 at the age of 59. Joanne is survived by her loving husband John Kaler. They were married at their home on August 25, 2013. Joanne is lovingly remembered by her son, Dan Wellman of Lincolnville and her daughter, Debbie Ripley of Monroe. Joanne had ten grandchildren and one great grandchild. Joanne was born in Camden, Maine on July 12, 1954. She attended Camden High School. She worked various jobs throughout her life. She worked for Moss Inc for over 21 years. Joanne enjoyed gardening, camping, spending time with her grandchildren, and enjoying life with family and friends. Joanne was known for her ability to laugh and enjoy life as it came to her. She was a mother and a good friend to all who crossed paths with her. The funeral service will be held at Riposta Funeral Home, 182 Waldo Ave Belfast on November 16, 2013 with Pastor Steve Nute officiating. A reception will follow at her daughter’s home. The family would like to personally thank the Waldo County Oncology Department for all their support and kindness throughout Joanne’s battle with cancer.
