Obituary of Henry Jack McFadden

Mr. H. Jack McFadden, 66, of Liberty Maine passed from this life on Friday, December 6, 2013. He was born February 23, 1947 in Philadelphia, PA to Anne and Harry McFadden. Jack leaves behind his wife and best friend, Daryl V. Schwartz McFadden; his beloved children, Carrie McFadden and partner Fred Foy, Colleen Jewett and husband Darrell, Ian McFadden and wife Anita, Heather McFadden and Jesse McFadden. Jack dearly loved being “Dad-Dad” to his grandchildren, Amanda & husband Dan Cushman, Stasia McFadden, Gavin Jewett, Meli McFadden, Jeff McFadden, Samantha McFadden and great-grandson, Kale Cushman. Jack was a teaching parent for Father Flanagan’s Boys Town and opened his home and heart to many children over the years. He loved to drive the back roads in nature, telling jokes, making others laugh with his irreverent sense of humor and sharing everything he had with others. He gave his never-ending support and advice to many without expecting anything in return. He loved playing Santa and making sure that the spirit of giving was a year round endeavor. He loved his “Chicken Bone”, his Chinese Crested canine companion who misses him terribly. In honor of Jack's big heart and open arms we ask in lieu of flowers that donations be given to Toys for Tots at http://toysfortots.org. A celebration of life will be held Saturday, December 14 at the Liberty Town Office from 2:00 – 3:00 pm. Please bring a memory, story or antidote to share and celebrate Jack's life. We would ask that Jack be remembered with bright colors and smiles.
