Obituary of Rose M. Beeton
Rose Beeton, 79, of Belfast passed away peacefully December 30, 2013 with all her family by her side. Born on April 13, 1934 the daughter of George Sterling and Beatrice Burrell. Married December 2, 1960 to Edward Beeton Sr., Rose grew up in Massachusetts until 1978 and then relocated to the Belfast-Searsport area. Rose was a homemaker raising her children and later in life worked housekeeping in the hospitality field. She was an inspiration to all who knew her and will live in all the hearts and minds of those who were blessed enough to have known her. Rose always lived life to its fullest and loved to spend time with family, play bingo and many nights spent singing karaoke. Rose also volunteered her time to nursing homes aiding people in need and making their days more enjoyable.
She was predeceased by her husband Edward Beeton Sr., first-born son James Beeton who died at birth, brothers, Johnny Burns, Robert Sterling and George Sterling.
Rose is survived by her children; Edward Beeton Jr. and wife Doris of Saco, Susan Woodrow and husband Mark of Northport, Donald Beeton and wife Christy of Nobleboro, Donna Kirk and husband Andrew of Morrill, Daniel Beeton and wife Patti of Stockton Springs. Also survived by her grandchildren Alicia Dunham, Bradley Beeton, Benjamin Dunham, Erin Beeton, Christopher Beeton, Amanda Dunham, James Owen, Melissa Woodrow, Daniel Beeton Jr., Joshua Owen, Lindsay Woodrow, Jessica Sykes, and Brandon Peasley. Rose was loved by many special people in her life. She also cherished her grandchildren, Jason Dunham, Adrienne LeBlanc, Deanna Cashman, Travis Lee, Shawn Adams, Morgan Nickerson and Arianne (Reynolds) Clark, special nephew Daniel Sterling and wife Nancy of Swanville as well as many nieces and nephews. Rose was also the proud great grandmother of 11 great grandchildren with an additional 3 great grandchildren in the upcoming months.
Family and friends are invited to call on Monday, January 6th from 2-4 p.m. at Riposta Funeral Home, 182 Waldo Avenue, Belfast. Graveside burial will be announced in the spring.
