Obituary of Jack H. Ward

BELMONT Jack H. Ward, 73, of Belmont passed away unexpectedly at his residence February 24, 2013. He was born November 3, 1940 in Belfast the son of the late John and Bernice (Newcomb) Ward. Jack served in the US Navy after high school during the Cuban Missile Crisis. He then worked and retired from the paper mill in Bucksport after being there as a calendar operator and foreman for over 30 years. He enjoyed hunting and fishing in his spare time. Jack was predeceased by his siblings, John, Tom, Leeman, Lawrence , Rosie and Marion. He is survived by his companion Betty Cool of Belmont, Dusty Ward and his wife Kim of Belmont, Rita Ward of Rockland, Stacey Ward, Justin Ward both of Winterport, Eric Bagley of Stockton Springs, Scott Colcord of Monroe, grandchildren, Tiffany, Melissa, Marc, Megan, Elizabeth, Morgan, Gage, Avery, Brook, and Shawn; 10 great grandchildren; his siblings, twin brother James Ward and his wife Jean of Belfast, Virginia Clark of Belfast, Faylene Moulton and husband Ronald of Swanville, Irene Downs of Belfast and Judy Gray of Swanville. Jack will also be missed by several nieces and nephews as well as his close friend Bert Maddocks. Online condolences may be offered to the family at www.ripostafh.com.
