Obituary of Malcom Wentworth
Malcolm Wentworth passed away on April 19, 2014. He was born on June 27, 1928. He graduated from Morse Memorial High School in Brooks, Maine. He then joined the Navy and was stationed in Jacksonville, Florida for two years. He eventually bought a dairy farm which he sold after 30 years. He took up wood-working which he thoroughly enjoyed and created many pieces which his family will always treasure. He also enjoyed four-wheeling and brook fishing.
Malcolm was a founding father of MSAD #3 and served on the board as chairman for many years. He served a few years as selectman for the town of Knox. He was a member of the Farm Bureau, Marsh River Lodge #102 and a member of Harvest Home Grange.
He liked to tease and joke with his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren, as well as his many friends. He enjoyed wintering in Florida, riding the golf cart, talking with friends and treating his animal friends with dog bones.
Malcolm is survived by his wife Evelyn of 60 years, daughters Carol Wentworth and Diane Wentworth, grandchildren Lance Oliver and wife Elisha and Damon Wentworth, great grandchildren Hannah, Ryan and Alden Oliver, brothers Lloyd, Basil and wife Leah and Jim and wife Janet. In addition there are many nieces and nephews.
Malcolm was pre-deceased by his parents Lloyd and Zenaide, his sister Charlotte Wildes Chase and grandson Shawn Dean Oliver.
