Obituary of Dominic Roy

DOMINIC J. ROY JR., 80 of Rockland, passed away May 20, 2014 in Rockport. He was born in Waterville on June 27, 1933, a son of Dominic and Mary Ann (Lebrasseur) Roy Sr. He was an active member of St. Bernard’s Church in Rockland. Dominic enjoyed TV watching, mostly football and comedy shows. More recently many days were spent taking rides with his wife. He was predeceased by his parents. Survivors include his wife of 55 years, Ann (Mathieu) Roy of Rockland; a daughter Theresa Crockett and husband Nelson of South Hope, a son Donald Roy and wife Cindy of Gorham; two sisters, Carmen Tedekis of Inverness, FL and Janet Parrish of St. Petersburg, FL; a brother, Joseph Roy of Mebane, NC; several nieces and nephews. A memorial mass will be held at 10 a.m. May 30th at St. Bernard’s Church in Rockland. Those who wish may make donations to St. Bernard’s Soup Kitchen, 150 Broadway, Rockland, ME 04841. Arrangements are under the care of Direct Cremation of Maine, 182 Waldo Avenue, Belfast. Memorial mass 10 a.m. May 30th at St. Bernard's Church, 150 Broadway, Rockland, Maine.
