Obituary of Beatrice H. Marshall

Beatrice H. Marshall, 82, of Camden passed away at her residence Thursday, July 10, 2014. She was born Aug. 24, 1931, in Norwalk, Conn., the only daughter of seven children to the late Linwood H. and Lena B. (Britto) Hanson. Beatrice was also predeceased by three brothers, Linwood, Larry and Richard Hanson and former husband Arthur "Sonny" Marshall. She is survived by her children: Keith Marshall of Mexico, Kim Spear and her husband Mike of Camden, her devoted daughter Karen Kindell and husband Jack of Camden, Kevin Marshall and his wife Starla of Richmond, and close friend of 40 years Joan Parra of Appleton; three brothers: Jesse Hanson, Bill Hanson and his wife Susan all of Perkinsville, Vt., Ernest Hanson and his wife Judy of Norwalk, Conn., six grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren with another due in October, along with many nieces and nephews. Beatrice loved her Pentecostal faith, she attended Family Worship Center on Conway Road in Camden and also the Celebration of Life Church in Rockport. She worked at Tibbetts Industries in Camden for 36 years ending her employment at the age of 75 in 2006 due to throat cancer. After several surgeries, she had to have her voice box removed and would communicate with an electronic voice device. Beatrice never lost her sense of humor or her gratitude for God and strong family support system; often speaking of the love and attention from her grandson Devin and his family. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her. Beatrice’s final resting place will be in Mountain View Cemetery above Sand Street because that is where her life was the happiest. Graveside service will be held at 1pm on Tuesday July 29,2014 at Mountain View Cemetery in Camden. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Camden Area Christian Food Pantry 128 Mt.
