Obituary of Valerie Giusto
BELMONT
Valerie Giusto, 74, of Belmont, passed away September 29, 2014. Valerie was born in Lincolnville to Robert and Phoebe Moody on April 5th, 1940. She went to high school at Camden–Rockport High School and graduated in 1958. She married Ronald Giusto on October 17th, 1958 and moved to Napa, CA where she raised her children and worked as a secretary, drapery seamstress and wall paper hanger. She returned to Maine in 1986 to be near her grandchildren. She enjoyed collecting antiques, painting and cake decorating. Mostly, she enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and attending family gatherings. She was an avid genealogist and kept in contact with distant family members keeping us all connected. She was a member of The Mayflower Society and The Greene Plantation Historical Society in Belmont, Maine. She was very thoughtful and generous to all her family and friends.
Valerie is preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Phoebe; two brothers Richard and James; and a sister Dora Ann.
Valerie is survived by her husband Ronald Giusto; sister Sharon Pendleton; daughter Susan Robinson and husband David Robinson, daughter Laurie Giusto, and daughter Sharon Simmons and husband Pete Simmons; four granddaughters Megan Ryan, Sarah Burnside, Jamie Robinson and Melissa Simmons; two great grandsons, Caleb Ryan and Barrett Wilson.
Private services to be held at Lassell Cemetery, Moody Mountain Road, in Searsmont. Date to be determined. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Waldo County Hospice or Maine Cancer Foundation http://mainecancer.org/.
