Obituary of Margaret E. Conant

MARGARET E CONANT, 92, passed away in Belfast on November 1, 2014. She was born May 19, 1922 in Swanville, Maine to Augustus and Esther Walker. Margaret had a great sense of humor and loved playing cards, especially playing and winning at UNO. She enjoyed being around people and always welcomed friends and neighbors into her home. Margaret had a great fondness for animals, especially her Pugs. She attended Faith Temple Church of God. She was predeceased by her parents; her first husband Stanley Webster; her second husband Charles Conant; and a grandchild, Amon Vaughan. Survivors include her daughter Ruth Gott and husband Randall of Coeur d’Alene, Idaho; step-children Andrea Grierson and husband Darrell, Scott Conant and wife Cheryl, Tammie Conant and companion Stephan Stone, all of Appleton; a sister Winnie Ward of Belfast; nine grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; three nephews and many special friends and neighbors. A funeral service will be held 10 a.m. on Monday, November 10th at Faith Temple Church of God, Lincolnville Avenue, Belfast with Rev. Michael Horton officiating followed by a luncheon at the church. Arrangements are under the care of Riposta Funeral Home, 182 Waldo Avenue, Belfast.
