Obituary of Anne L. Titus
Anne L. Titus (Kiefer) (75), passed away on December 10, 2014 in Belfast, Maine. She was born in Winona, Minnesota on June 6, 1939 and is survived by her husband William Titus of Appleton, Maine, daughter Gretchen Mathot and her husband Steven Farro, son Mark Mathot and his wife Laurie Mathot, and son Tim Mathot and his wife Bethany Mathot, along with many grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Anne was a member of the Come Spring Quilters in Union, Maine along with recently joining a group in Thomaston, loved gardening and was a member of the Rockland garden club. She enjoyed playing bunko, camping and country western dancing with her friends, along with being an avid skier. Her friends, family and co-workers always looked forward to her annual Christmas open house. Anne loved Christmas especially with her family; it was a happy time of year. She worked for over 20 years at the dental office of Dr. John Slaughter in Belfast. Anne loved antiques and doing all day shopping marathons and yard sales with her daughter Gretchen. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
Anne requested to not have a funeral; she will be cremated and her ashes spread among the gardens she loved tending to. A celebration of life will be held in the future months. In lieu of flowers, donations to local animal shelters would be appreciated. Arrangements are under the care of Riposta Funeral Home 182 Waldo Ave. Belfast.
