Obituary of Linda M Polkey

Linda Marie Larrabee Polkey of Falmouth passed away January 12 after a short illness at the Gosnell Memorial Hospice House in Scarbrough. Linda was surrounded by love from her family and friends. Linda was born in Portland Maine on August 22, 1947, the daughter of Rose (villacci) and Allen Larrabee. Linda is survived by Sisters Esther Jane Noyes and partner Marshall Graf of Venus, Florida Susanne Larrabee Wright Ashland of Canaan; Brother Jerry Larrabee and wife Norma of Wingdale, Ny. She will be deeply missed by her childhood friend Nancy Burnell of Raymond. In addition to the many children she cared about and spent time with, Linda was dearly loved by her nieces Angela Currier, Kelly Hanscom, Jennifer Noyes, Chrissy Petersen, Karen Larrabee and Nephews Isaac and Carl Petersen, Rick, Mike and Larry Larrabee. She also leaves behind her godson Darren Burnell. Her nephew Graydon (Deke) Wright died in 1998. She had many aunts and uncles. Surviving are her great Aunt, Marie Brown; Uncle Danny Villacci. She had many cousins who loved and will miss her. Linda was the owner of Vacation Land Video Store in North Yarmouth. The staff and customers were very important to her. She loved and was very close to her Video Store children and families. Linda will be remembered for her sense of adventure. She loved to take the road less traveled. A potluck celebration of life will be held on Friday January 16th at the American Legion Hall Post #164, 65 Depot Road Falmouth; from 4-7. The family is eager to share stories and memories of all the people who love Linda. Those wishing to assist with expenses may contact a family member.
