Obituary of Peggy Dunbar

JACKSON - Peggy Ann Dunbar, 64, passed away on January 25, 2015, at Westgate Manor in Bangor, ME. She was born Oct. 10, 1950 in Castine, the daughter of Earl "Buddy" Gross and Dorothy (King) Moody. She graduated from Bucksport H.S. in 1968. She cherished being a mom, daughter, sister, grandmother, aunt, and cousin. She had worked in the cafeteria for Unity College and for Penobscot Frozen Foods in Belfast. She was an avid sports fan, especially the Red Sox and Mt. View H.S. athletics. She enjoyed playing softball & basketball, and loved listening to Elvis. She is survived by her partner Wade Furrow of Jackson; sons: Robby Dunbar with Debbie Young of Waldo, Toby Dunbar with Todd Loveland of Egg Harbor City, NJ; grandchildren: Lauren Dunbar, Abbie Morong, Ethan Dunbar; brother-in-law Floyd Clement with Sue Carlisle of Bucksport, nephews: Kevin Clement with Barb of College Station, TX, Larry Clement with Michelle of Bucksport, Earl "Buddy" Clement with Jodi of Bucksport, Luke Gross with Lauren of Hancock; nieces: Denise & Darci Bevan of Verona; Wade's son Jody Furrow with Becky and their children; step-brothers: Byron Moody with Sandy of Rockledge, FL, Jeff Moody with Connie of Titusville, FL. She was also a great-aunt to many. She was predeceased by her parents: Earl "Buddy" Gross & Dorothy (Gross) Moody, step-father Ardine Moody, sisters: Earleen Clement & Nancy (Gross) Plaisted, step-brothers: Duane & Robert Moody. There will be a Celebration of Life on April 25 at the Bucksmills Rod & Gun Club in Bucksport, ME at 4pm. Donations may be made in her memory to the capital campaign for Mt. View HS athletics: Future RSU 3, PO Box 151, Unity, Maine, 04988. Peggy Dunbar Celebration of Life for Peggy will be held this Saturday, April 25, at the Bucksmills Rod & Gun Club, in Bucksport, Maine, at 4pm.
