Obituary of Dawn Irene Barnes
Dawn Irene Barnes, 67, of Eastport, passed away on February 12, 2015. She was born and raised in Eastport, Me. to Kenneth and Lorraine Murphy. Dawn was a waitress for over 40 years at several local establishments. She was an avid and competitive bowler in her heyday winning many awards. Dawn also enjoyed playing cards and going to Beano. She and her husband Billy enjoyed watching the sporting events of her children and grandchildren over the years. She had an infectious laugh that brought smiles and laughter to everyone she met and was a great story teller as well. But most of all, she loved family. Christmas was her favorite holiday, the annual tradition of traveling Christmas morning to their children’s homes and later everyone meeting at their home was a highlight for her and Billy. Dawn and Billy started having annual 4th of July gatherings for family and friends over 20 years ago providing a place to laugh, watch children play, and enjoy great company.
Dawn was predeceased by her parents Kenneth and Lorraine (Cassidy) Murphy; Sister, Tari Murphy; Son, Robert Edward; Grandson Darrin Wayne Lingley.
She is survived by her loving husband, William S. Barnes Sr.; Children, Dorothy (Peter), Michelle, William Jr. (Janet), Michael (Michele); Brothers, Twin brother Kenneth (Elaine), Charles (Sandra), Robert (Diana); Grandchildren: Lindsey, Amanda, Peter, Clifford, Rachel, Timothy, Tyler, Nicholas, and Sierra; Great-grandchildren, Maia, Adraina, Shaylynn, Evan, Cooper, Skinuhsis, Cameron, and Natalie. Several nieces and nephews And former son-in-law and family friend, Clifford Francis Sr.
Services will be scheduled at a later date.

Arrangements are in the Care of Direct Cremation of Maine, Belfast.
