Obituary of Eldon Lewis Dyer
Eldon Lewis "Bud" Dyer, 77, passed away on March 24, 2015, at his home in Jonesport surrounded by his family. He was born in Jonesport on February 12, 1938, the son of Stillman R. and Bertha (Caler) Dyer.
Bud is survived by his wife, Margaret L. Dyer, daughters Anita Beth Dyer and her partner Douglas Kane of Ben Lomond, CA, and Marla Sue and her husband Michael Bagley of Addison; Step-Children that he raised and thought of as his own, Monte Brown and his partner Ernie Geddes of Freedom, Me, Jennifer Brown of Jonesport, and Kathy Marie Brown (his special care-giver) of Addison grandchildren Kristen Alley and her husband Joshua Schlaefer of Ellsworth, Courtney Lynn Bagley of Addison, and great-granddaughter Ashra Lee Schlaefer of Ellsworth; Grandchildren that he helped raise and thought of as his own John Stephen Whitt Jr. USMC of Washington, DC, Cody Whitt of Jonesport, Cameron Brown (he raised as his own son) and partner Erica Hatt, Jessie Brown, Joseph Ocampo, Lorena Sanchez and Liliana Amador, all of Addison; great-grandchildren Kayden of Jonesport & Aleah Whitt of North Carolina. He will also be greatly missed by many special friends including Elliott and Danita Beal of Beals, Paul Farnsworth of Jonesport, Wayne Beals of Jonesport, Muriel Gay of Jonesboro, and his beloved dog, Lexi. He was predeceased by his parents, his sister Ethel "Kit" Dyer Rockwell, his brother-in-law Ansel Rockwell, his nephew Ivan Rockwell, and his grandnephew Michael Rockwell.
There will be no services at this time. A service to remember and celebrate his life will be held later this year. Donations may be made to Alzheimer’s or a charity of one’s choice.
