Obituary of Anita Robertson
Anita Mildred Robertson, 79, of Belfast, passed away at home Easter morning, April 5, 2015.
She was born Oct. 3, 1935, the daughter of Elsine and Kermit Robertson. She was a graduate of Crosby High School class of 1954 and a proud and active member of her community. She worked for New England Telephone Company before marrying Roger Blake and settling into farm life in Waldo where they raised their son Lincoln. She enjoyed gardening, spending time at Half Moon Pond, kayaking and braiding rugs. She loved Belfast and served on the Belfast City Council and Waldo County YMCA board.
Anita is lovingly remembered by her son Lincoln Blake and his father Roger Blake, two brothers Richard and Dan Robertson, their children and families. Her nieces will always remember their 'Aunt Dee' for her genuine hugs and family get-togethers at camp.
- Mama, you were the light of my life. You were my buddy. I could always depend on you. These last few years our roles were switched. I was the parent; you, my cherished child. I'd give anything to take care of you all over again. You were my good little girl. I will always love and miss you more than I can say. - Lincoln
The service will be at the First Baptist Church of Belfast, Saturday, April 11, at 11 a.m. All who knew her are invited to attend.
