Obituary of Albert E. Foster

Albert E. Foster Jr., 79 of Montville, passed away on May 25, 2015 in Portland. He was born on March 27, 1936 in Providence, Rhode Island, the son of Albert E. and Rose (Pickett) Foster Sr. He worked for over 22 years as a truck driver for Keebler until retirement in 1977. Albert was a member of the Teamster Union in Framingham, MA, the Portuguese American Club in Smithfield, RI, and served in the Army Reserves. He moved with his wife to Montville, Maine 28 years ago where he enjoyed his time woodworking and gardening. Some of his hobbies after retirement included cooking, fishing and hunting. Albert was a member of the St. Francis of Assisi Church as well as a 4th Degree Knight of Columbus. He is predeceased by his parents and brother Joseph R. Foster. Albert is survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Raymonde; his children Donna Conde and husband Michael of Glocester, RI, Suzanne Horn and husband Michael of Coventry, RI, Karen Foster, Peter Foster and wife Lisa, all of Glocester, RI, Sharon Olson and husband Kyle of Warwick, RI; sister Carol Slattery of Winter Harbor; grandchildren Jessica Gilb, Michael Conde, Andrew Horn, Amy Conde, Jamie, Ian and Cameron Olson, Alexis and Jaden Foster; great-grandchildren Rayelyn Watson, Olive Rose Gilb; many nieces, nephews and cousins; and several special sisters in law. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 11 a.m. May 28th at St. Francis of Assisi Church, Court Street, Belfast. A memorial will be announced in Rhode Island at a later date. Those who wish may make donations in Albert’s memory to Wounded Warriors or St. Jude Children’s Hospital. Arrangements are under the care of Riposta Funeral Home, 182 Waldo Avenue, Belfast.
