Obituary of Daniel M. Gessinger

SUMNER - Daniel M. Gessinger, 59, of Maine, formally from Bleecker, entered into rest Saturday, May 30, 2015. Born November 5, 1955, he is the son of Gerald and Audrey Gessinger of Bleecker. Dan attended Wheelerville and Gloversville schools. He was a member of the Bleecker Community Church and proudly volunteered at various soup kitchens at Woodstock Music Festivals. In addition to his parents, Dan is survived by two brothers, Alan Gessinger of Gloversville and Raymond (Melanie) Gessinger of Fultonville. He is also survived by five nieces and nephews: Joshua, Seth and Bethany Gessinger of Fultonville, and Alan and Renee Gessinger of Arizona. Dan also leaves behind his best friends and neighbors Rich and Linda Pothier of Maine. A graveside service to celebrate his life will be held at a later date for his immediate family. Memorial contributions can be made to the Bleecker Community Church.
