MONTVILLE JANICE (RAVEN) GARDNER, passed away on June 27, 2015 in Boston, Massachusetts. She was born in Knox, Maine on July 28, 1938 to Lawrence and Lillian (Stevens) Raven. Janice grew up in Knox and attended Freedom Academy. She made her home in Cape Elizabeth for 20 years, raising her children and then moving back to Montville where she lived on their farm. She was the caretaker of her family and friends, an avid gardener and enjoyed bird watching, cooking and baking for her family. She was a huge Red Sox Fan and followed them faithfully for years. She is survived by her loving husband of 54 years, Joel; her children: Steven Gardner of Scarborough ME, Sabrena Gardner of Phoenix, AZ and Belinda Erskine and her husband James of Cape Elizabeth, ME; grandchildren, Jeremy, TJ and Keller Gardner, Geoffrey, Andy and Grace Erskine along with her step mother, Beatrice, her brothers Melvin, Bobby, Chet, Ike and Roger; her sisters, Barbara and Myrna as well as several nieces and nephews. Family and friends are invited to call at Riposta Funeral Home, 182 Waldo Avenue, Belfast from 4-6 p.m. July 2nd where services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, July 3, 2015.
