Obituary of Forrest R. Brown
WEST APPLETON
FORREST R. BROWN, SR., 87 of West Appleton, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his family on July 8, 2015. He was born August 19, 1927 in Lemington, Vermont the son of Frederick and Maude (Emerson) Kendall. He married the love of his life, Barbara, on January 28, 1953, and they had three children together. Forrest was a farmer, a woodsman, hauled pulpwood and drove truck for many years. He always provided for his family above all else. Forrest was an avid fisherman who loved camping with his family and took pride in his vehicles. He was a private man but wasn’t shy and was full of humor and wit. Forrest will be remembered by his children as more than a father but also a best friend.
He is predeceased by his parents; a sister Janet Crawford; brother Benjamin Kendall. He is survived by his loving wife of almost 63 years, Barbara Brown of West Appleton; his beloved children, Forrest Jr. and Karen Green of Vassalboro, Bernard Brown and Naomi of West Appleton, Donna Brown and Harold Johnson of West Appleton; his grandchildren, Forrest Alan, William, Valerie, Raymond, Tracy, David, Rachael, Glen, Eric, Wendy, Elvis, Ginger; many great grandchildren and great, great grandchildren; several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Friends and family are invited to call from 4-6 p.m. on Sunday, July 12th at Riposta Funeral Home, 182 Waldo Avenue, Belfast. A graveside service will be held at 11 am. on Monday July 13th at Morrill Village Cemetery.
