Obituary of Velma Beatrice Scott
OLD TOWN – Velma Beatrice Scott, 70, passed away on July 11, 2015 in Bangor. Velma was born July 13, 1944 in Belfast, Maine to Edward and Pearl (Bulduc) Scott. She worked as a CNA/Home Care Aide for more than 30 years, including a lengthy stint at EMMC. She enjoyed attending Glad Tidings Church in Bangor. Over the years, her greatest joy has always been spending time with family and giving her own time to assist them.
Velma was predeceased by her parents, Edward and Pearl and step-father Maurice Butler; brothers: Larry, Michael and Edward Scott; sister Daisy Leathers; daughter Brenda Holmes; and Close life partner David Smith. She is survived by her daughter Tammy Feige & husband Leif of Brewer; brothers and sisters: David Scott of Belfast, Richard Scott of Fayette, Stephen Scott of Searsmont, Virginia Wheeler of Skowhegan and Linda Scott of Lewiston; grandchildren: Amy Hachey, Michelle Holmes, Douglas Trask, Megan Trask and Aaron Dusoe; great-grandchildren: Riley, Zachary, Garrett, Lincoln, Jocelyn, Piper and Peyton; many nieces, nephews, cousins, other family and her beloved cats Johnny Bench and Cream Puff.
Services will be held on Tuesday, July 28, 2015, 12:00 noon, at Riposta Funeral Home, 182 Waldo Avenue, Belfast. Memories and condolences may be shared with the family at www.ripostafh.com.
