Obituary of Gail Lenore Andrews

NORTHPORT - Gail Lenore Andrews, 70, passed away on July 11, 2015 at Crawford Commons in Union. Gail was born in Stamford, Connecticut on April 30, 1945 to the late Arthur Joseph Gescheidle and Eleanor Margaret Millioen. Raised in Bronx, New York, Gail graduated from Ladycliffe College in New York with a B.S. in Chemistry and worked as a chemist for many years before becoming a civil court clerk. Gail was a devout Catholic and was a member of the Carmelites. Gail loved to read and write poetry and in her younger days, she also painted, played guitar and made ceramics. Gail was predeceased by her parents. She is survived by her daughter Angelica Bunker and husband Wade of Northport, brother James Gescheidle and wife Janet of New York, granddaughter Lily Bunker of Northport, nephews James Gescheidle, Jr. and wife Lauren and Stephen Gescheidle and wife Lora. Visiting hours will be held at Riposta Funeral Home,182 Waldo Avenue, Belfast on Thursday, July 16, 2015 from 4-6:00 pm. There will be a funeral mass held at St. Francis of Assisi in Belfast on Friday, July 17, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. Donations may be made in Gail's name to either St. Francis of Assisi Church or to Davis Long Term Care.
