Obituary of Ronald Scott
Ronald W. Scott, 78, passed away July 17, 2015 in Presque Isle after a short but courageous fight with cancer. He was born December 17, 1936 to Arthur & Doris (Brewer) Scott of Houlton.
Ron grew up in Houlton. He was a proud US Air Force Veteran having served from 1956-1964. After a year of his return to Houlton he married Edwina VanTasel on June 5, 1965.
Ron and worked at Parkview Terrace and Reids Confectionary for many years. He was a wonderful cook and loved to make meals or desserts for his family and friends.
Ron is survived by his daughter Tammi (Scott) Easler and her husband David of Washburn; three grandchildren that he adored and was very proud of: Stephen Nason and his girlfriend Tawny Cookson of Bangor, and Katie and Abbie Easler of Washburn; his sisters-in law Mary Scott of Madawaska and Kip VanTasel of Houlton, and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents and his wife Edwina (VanTasel) Scott, two brothers Arthur and David Scott, and step father Vern Thurlow.
A graveside service will be held at 11:00 am at St. Mary’s Cemetery, Smyrna Street, Houlton on Wednesday July 29th.
