Obituary of Crystal M. Chisholm

CRYSTAL M. CHISHOLM, 28 of Searsport, passed away on July 30, 2015 with her parents by her side after a courageous life-long battle with Cystic Fibrosis. She was born on December 12, 1986 in Hartford, Connecticut, the daughter of Douglas Chisholm and Karen Pelkey. Crystal was an animal lover, especially her service dog, Benny, who was her constant companion as well as her cat, Kitty. She enjoyed the beach and the ocean and loved listening to the music of the Backstreet Boys and attending their concerts. She is predeceased by her maternal grandmother Theresa Pelkey. Crystal is survived by her loving parents, Karen Pelkey of Searsport and Douglas Chisholm of Springfield, Massachusetts; maternal grandfather Francis J. Pelkey Sr. and wife Patsy of Ebervale, PA and paternal grandparents, Leon and Barbara Chisholm of Chicopee, Massachusetts; several aunts, uncles and cousins. At her request, there will be no services held. Those who wish may make memorial contributions in her memory to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation or to Eastern Maine Medical Center, Pediatric Unit, 489 State Street, Bangor, ME 04401. Arrangements are under the care of Riposta Funeral Home, Belfast.
