Obituary of Lillian Howard
BRUNSWICK
LILLIAN HOWARD, 80, passed away in Brunswick on August 17, 2015. She was born in Augusta on July 23, 1935 to John and Odile Potvin. Lillian was a lifelong member of St. John’s Baptist Church in Brunswick. She enjoyed knitting, crocheting and loved to plan birthday parties for the family. She is predeceased by her parents and her son Larry Howard in 1985. Survivors include her daughters, Dianna Thibodeau and husband Mark of Richmond, Donna Minchin and husband Stephen of Bowdoin; her siblings, James Potvin and wife Sandy of Cundy’s Harbor, Leona Potvin and Margaret Campbell, both of Brunswick; grandchildren Ben Chipman of Portland, Abe Chipman of Brunswick, Shane Minchin and wife Carrie of Topsham, Ryan Minchin and wife Kim of Sanford, Michael Minchin and wife Katrina of Vermont; six great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews as well at her friends at Horizons Nursing Home.
She worked very hard throughout her life to make sure her children were provided for. She was very devoted to family. Lillian was a very generous, kind-hearted woman. We thank you for being such a wonderful mother. Rest in peace dear Mother – we will miss you and love you forever.
A celebration of her life will be held privately for the family. Burial will be at Cranberry Horn Cemetery in Harpswell. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Lillian’s memory to Alzheimer’s Association, 383 US Route One #2C Scarborough, ME 04074.
