Obituary of Vanessa Willoughby Mehuren

Ms. Vanessa Willoughby Mehuren, of Vassalboro, ME, passed away on Tuesday, August 18, 2015 at the age of 54. Vanessa was born to parents Freelan (Peanut) and Edna Willoughby on November 5, 1960 in Waterville, ME. She grew up as the youngest of three and attended Palermo Consolidated School and Erskine Academy. Vanessa is preceded in death by her parents, Freelan and Edna; and her sister, Beverly Haskell. She is survived by her daughters, Kallie J. Mehuren, Kasey L. Mehuren-Kimmel & husband Eric Kimmel; her son, Jarrod D. Mehuren; her brother, Dean Willoughby & wife Ann, many nieces and nephews, and two special cats Dionysus (Dyo) & Ares. Vanessa was also looking forward to her first grandchild, affectionately known as “Critter”. Vanessa worked for years as a waitress and for 15 years in the Secretary of State Elections division, and her impact reaches far and wide. She was always one to laugh and party, so a celebration of her life will be held in her honor at the Palermo Christian Church on Saturday, August 22nd at 1:00 pm.
