Obituary of Karen Comfort

Karen Comfort of Fort Kent passed away peacefully at her home on Saturday August 22, 2015 surrounded by family and loved ones. She was born April 27, 1954 in Presque Isle, ME. Predeceased by her loving husband, Steven Comfort, she is survived by her parents: Richard and Opal Smith; only child, Kimberly; three grandchildren: Megan, Ryan, and Christian; one great-grandchild: Ashton; three siblings and their spouses: Joe and Kathy Smith, Elaine and Bob Rogers, Steve and Kim Smith along with nieces and nephews. Her strong chracter, talent beyond measure, and most importantly loving heart, will be remembered by all who knew her. She is now in the arms of her Lord and reunited with her best friend - her husband. In lieu of flowers, monetary donations can be made to Hospice of Caribou and food donations to the local food pantry. A funeral mass will be held at Saint Louis Catholic Church in Fort Kent on Wednesday September 2, 2015 at 4:00pm.
