Obituary of Kevin Alan Ricker
Kevin Alan Ricker, 50, died after a long illness Sept. 5, 2015, at a Bangor hospital. He was born Sept. 6, 1964, in Waterville, the son of Darol and Myrtie (Welch) Ricker.
Kev graduated from Mount View High School, class of 1983, and excelled in athletics. He worked in the woods most of his life because it was “in his blood.” He also enjoyed mechanics and auto body work. Occasionally he worked for his dad, hauling gravel and whatever else needed to be done. He has been with his beloved Annette for the last six years and they always did everything together. He loved music, especially The Grateful Dead. Kev enjoyed his dogs and spending time in his vegetable garden. He had a big heart – always helping anyone who needed it.
Kevin was predeceased by his mother and his grandparents. He is survived by his loving wife Annette (Olmstead) Ricker; her children Jessica Ludden and Jennifer Parker; Crystal Curtis, whom Kevin raised as his own; sister Karla Flagg; his father; niece Hayley; special cousin David Ricker; Monty, who was his friend since they were both in diapers; and many, many dear friends.
Graveside services at will be announced at a later date. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the family toward end of life expenses.
