Thomaston — Rosalie A, Hathorne, 85, passed peacefully Sept. 26, 2015, surrounded by her family -- she will be missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing her.
Rosie and her husband, Charlie, were married Dec. 19, 1951, built a house on Fluker Street and moved into the house in the late '50s, where they raised five children. Rosie lost her beloved husband some 22 years ago, very much missed. In Oct. 2013 she moved to Hope to stay with her daughter and son-in -law.

She was not afraid to learn how to do many things after Charlie passed. Rosie at 52 learned how to drive and, with some help from her son-in law, Glenn, she learned to live on her own and do so many things for herself.
Rosie was born in Rockland as a Young Oct. 21, 1929. Her mother was Olga Young, father Maynard Young, and she had two siblings, Charles Young and Eleanor Young.
Predeceased by her husband, Charles, sister Eleanor Young and son Dana Hathorne, she is survived by daughters Kathy Baker and her husband, Glenn, Karen Eastman, Samantha, son Christopher Hathorne and daughter-in-law Dawn Hathorne.
