Obituary of Susie Margaret Kilton

Susie Margaret Kilton, 86, of Edmunds, passed away on October 6, 2015. Susie was born March 14, 1929 to Alvery and Hope (Phinney) Lingley in Dennysville, Maine. She was one of eleven children and was close with her family. Susie graduated high school, worked as a nurse's aide at Hallmark Cards and Ware Knitters. She married Harold Kilton and the couple were married for 24 years, until he passed away in 2003. Susie liked to sew and she loved gardening, shopping and going to church and being with her daughter Suzanne and family when she could. She also enjoyed her friends at First Baptist Church in Pembroke, putting puzzles together with friends, and her daughter's beagles, Baron, Henry and kitty CG. Susie was predeceased by her parents; her beloved husband, Harold; her daughter, Sandra Barnes of England; and eight siblings: Sumner, George, Harland, Gladys, Malcolm, Earle, Harvey and Donald. She leaves behind her son, David Murphy and his wife Sandy of Georgia; daughter Suzanne and husband Dana Cushing of Pembroke, her brother Clyde and sister Mae; five grandchildren: ,Rebecca Hammack, Melissa Cushing, Todd Cushing, Matthew Barnes, Andrew Barnes; five great-grandchildren, son-in-law Terry Barnes and special friend Marie Broome and daughter-in-law Doreen Kilton and her family. A memorial service will be October 24th at 1:00pm at the First Baptist Church in Pembroke, Maine.
