Obituary of Deborah Kay Pomerleau

Belfast, Maine - Deborah Kay (Siemann) Pomerleau, 61, passed away November 19, 2015, at PenBay Health Care Center, Rockport, Maine, with her sons and family by her side. Debbie, as she liked to be called, was born in Belfast, Maine on August 25, 1954. Her parents were Frederick W. Siemann, Sr. and Charlotte L. Smearer Siemann. She was the youngest of four brothers and six sisters. She graduated from Belfast Area High School in 1972 and Southern Maine Vocational Technical Institute, School of Practical Nursing in Rockland, Maine in 1982, receiving her Licensed Practical Nursing Degree. She also attended the University of Maine, in Lewiston, Maine for 3 years part-time pursuing a Liberal Arts Degree. Her greatest joys in life were caring for her two boys, gardening, birding, and cooking. Debbie was pre-deceased by her parents, Frederick Siemann, Sr. and Charlotte Siemann, her brothers Billy and George Siemann, her niece Julie Robertson, nephew Richard Tash and great-nephew Jonathan Camp. She is survived by her two sons: David Pomerleau and partner Monica of Greene, Maine and Colton Pelkey of Leeds, Maine; her brothers and sisters: Robert and wife Katherine of Surprise, Arizona; Fred Siemann, Jr. and wife, Trudee, of Hilo, Hawaii; Frances Tash and husband Dick, of Strafford, New Hampshire; Joan Siemann of Auburn, Maine; Barbara Robertson and husband Dan, of Mt. Vernon, Washington; Lillian Stone of Sun City Center, Florida; and Martha Albert of Belfast, Maine, along with many nieces, nephews and cousins. Don't cry for me, I will be okay. Heaven is my home now, and this is where I'll stay. Don't cry for me, I'm where I belong. I want you to be happy and try to stay strong. Don't cry for me, It was just my time. But I will see you someday on the other side. Don't cry for me, I am not alone. The angels are with me to welcome me home. Don't cry for me, for I have no fear. All my pain is gone, and Jesus took my tears. Don't cry for me, this is not the end. I'll be waiting her for you, when we meet again. Per Debra's request, there will be no funeral services. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to one's choice. Arrangements are under the care of Riposta Funeral Home, 182 Waldo Avenue, Belfast.
