Above all, he loved spending time with his family and grandchildren and attending their many activities and events. He was so proud of all of his grandchildren and was always there to support them in whatever they did. In short, "he would do to ride the river with." He was predeceased by his wife of 41 years, Miriam (Cottle) Elliot; four infant sons; and brothers, Harvey Elliot of Ogunquit, and Neil Elliot of McMinnville, Ore.
