Obituary of Donna M. Alley

Beals - Donna M. Alley, 69, passed away July 10, 2019 at CMMC in Lewiston, surrounded by her family. She was born February 25, 1950 in Jonesport, the daughter of the late Obed L. and Clara A. Peabody of Beals. Donna worked many jobs throughout the years, with the last being at Wyman's in Cherryfield. One of her fondest memories that she spoke about often was going on the lobster smack as a young girl with her father. She is predeceased by her husband, Gilbert A. Alley and her sister, Velma Alley. Donna is survived by her children, Alonzo Alley and Phena Alley. Three grandchildren, Justin White, Morgan Alley, and Brandon Nichols; a great-grandson, Bentley White; sisters, Bonnie Crowley and husband, Leon, Theresa Leighton and husband, Tony, Judy Davis and husband, Bobby; brother, Warren Peabody; brother-in-laws, Maurice Alley and wife, Diane and Raymond Alley and wife, Terri; and her devoted daughter-in-law, Tammy White. She will be remembered with much love by several nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, her long-time companion, Daniel Handy; special friends, Eugene Smith and Tammy Hagerthy, and a "special daughter", Jen MacDonald. Per Donna's wishes there will be no calling hours. A graveside service will be held on Saturday, July 20, 2019, at 2 P.M. at the Great Wass Cemetery on Black Duck Cove Road, Beals.
