Just seeing this tribute wall for the first time. I was AMAZED at all the things I did not know about my Aunt Althea. I knew her all of my life and I guess I really didn't know her. That makes me sad. What I do know for sure is I always enjoyed seeing her. She was a small but feisty lady. Thinking of you Aunt Althea and wish I had taken more time to really get to know you. My love to all three cousins. The loss of a mom is tougher then I could have ever imagined. My thoughts are with you. xoxo-peg

Happy Birthday Ma! You are home now and, as if right on queue, the sun came out here just before setting this evening. I've got to think that after a gray and rainy day today, the clouds broke and the sun appeared this evening just for you on your special day. I will always love you and I will always have you in my thoughts. You'll always be the best mom ever! Your Son Tom

I am sooo sorry for your loss! I did not make the visit we had promised to have this spring when she was feeling better, sadly. She had called to praise me after reading my book: Swan Island in the Kennebec, Island of Eagles to congratulate a family member for successfully publishing and wanted to discuss possibilities for the second and third of the Swan Island historical novel trilogy. Such an interesting lady who did so much good for so many people. It is my loss not to have made that visit. Please rest in peace Althea. ~ 1st cousin 1X removed ~ T. Blen Parker

So very sorry for your loss. Althea was a delightful person. I recall working with her when she was running the vintage printing service. Such a focus on detail and such a pure delight in being able to continue a printing process that was both reaching back to our history and providing a valuable service. Quick with a smile, she brought joy to others. MLK
