Obituary of Alice Collins
ROCKLAND
ALICE B. COLLINS, 64 of Rockland, passed away peacefully December 22, 2018 at the Sussman House in Rockport, Maine with family by her side. She was born in Somerville, Massachusetts January 22, 1954, the daughter of Albert J. and Frances H. Beote. Moving to Maine full-time in 1966, she graduated from Medomak High School in 1973. Throughout her adult life, she worked a number of jobs beginning with the Navigator Motel, Crowe Rope where she met her future husband, Robert A. Collins. She also worked for Jura Studio, Nautica and finally at Circle K in Rockland.
She married Robert Collins on December 6, 1991 and lived in Rockland most of her married life. Alice was a caring person who was there for those who were in need of help, including her mother. She helped care for her mother in her final days which allowed Mother to remain in her own home until the end.
She is predeceased by her parents and a special friend, Katie Crandell. She will be sadly missed by her husband, Robert Collins; children Jamie Spaulding of Vassalboro, Casey Collins of Portland and Beck Collins of Orland as well as her little friend, her dog Chico; her sister Louise Allen and her husband Arnold of Union; nieces Susan Martz and her husband Edwin of Union, Jessica Spaulding of South Thomaston, nephews David Allen of South Thomaston and Jason Spaulding and his wife Lisa of Rockport; two grandsons, Noah and Devin Collins of Portland and several great nieces, great nephews and cousins.
