Obituary of Jack Stearns

Jack “Pup” Stearns, 85, passed away October 21, 2018 in Togus. Jack was born on March 26, 1933 in Waterville to the late Merle and Erma Stearns. He proudly served an enlistment in the United States Army and is a Purple Heart recipient. Jack was very active in many organizations and was a huge advocate for our American Veterans. He was a Union Pipefitter with Local 716 and an outdoorsman. Most importantly, he was a devoted Husband, Father, Grandfather and Great Grandfather. Jack was predeceased by his parents and his loving wife of 52 years, Agnes Stearns. Surviving are his children, Victoria “Vicki” Dutill and her husband Carl, Jeffrey D. Stearns and his fiancé Debi, Scott Stearns and his wife Deanna and Tami Stearns; his sisters, Letha Wood and Leah Wentworth; six grandchildren, thirteen great grandchildren and his dear friends Gary and Linda Lawson. Graveside services will be held at 12:00 PM on Friday November 2, 2018 at the Maine Veterans Cemetery, 163 Mt. Vernon Rd., Augusta ME 04330. There will be a gathering following the service at Post 1285 Waterville VFW.
