Obituary of Wilfred Norman Morey

Wilfred Norman Morey Sr., 86, of Augusta, earned his wings on September 6, 2018. “Mickey,” as everyone knew him by, was a proud, hard working family man. He was a wheeling and dealing man that loved to buy and sell anything, especially if he didn’t know what it was. He loved to hunt and fish with his sons. He was a truck driver most of his life but he did many other things including owning and running his own businesses, Elm City Cab and Hinckley Trading Post. He also was a bit of a practical joker. Mickey was born to the late Ernest and Margaret Morey and raised in Waterville. He was predeceased by his parents, brother Ronnie, sister Theresa, son Scott Morey Sr., daughter Marcia Rogers, grandson Patrick, and granddaughter Johnna. He is survived by his loving wife of 66 years, Jean Morey; children, Wilfred Morey Jr. (Toni) of Florida; Robert Morey (Donna) of Lisbon; Wayne Morey Sr. (Jane) of Augusta, and Karen Emerson (Keith) of Augusta; 15 grandchildren, several great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild.
