Obituary of Robert L. Berry
Robert Lewis Berry Sr. was born in Portland Maine April 01,1942 to George R Berry and Gladys Strout Cotton.
On August 28,2018, Bob gained his wings and went home to be with the Lord after a long battle with cancer. Bob was home surrounded by his loving family and his special dog Brittney by his side.
Bob grew up in Sebago ,Maine .Where he attended Sebago Schools. He later went on to gratuate from Andover Truck driving college and graduated with honors. Bob served in the National Guard for six years. He worked for Waste Management of Portland Maine. He drove cross country for many years and for Shell Oil off shore. He delivered oil for Pauls Oil Company in Portland Maine.
On July 29,1989 , Bob married his "bride" of 29 years Joyce Nay , together they lived in Old Orchard Beach, Sebago Lake, Parsonsfield, Decauurville Tennessee, Livermore Falls and currently Winthrop Maine.Together they raised his daughter Megan Berry, and were foster parents to many children.
Bob loved fishing, hunting and camping. they spent many weeks at Kathadin Iron Works North Maine Woods, Jo Mary Lakes region tenting and also at their camp Ebeeme in t5r9. He loved to walk in the woods.
Bob loved people, he got along with everyone He could walk along the street or go in a store and would make many friends. Years ago, you could hear him talking on his CB radio his CB handle was Triple B and Driveshaft.
Bob was predeceased by his mother and father, 1 aunt and 5 uncles. Surviving are his wife of 29 years Joyce Nay Berry, of Winthrop, a brother Donald(Red) Berry and his wife June of Sebago, an uncle Reginald Strout of Fl. His 4 children , RL Rand, of Az, Robert Berry Jr of Palm Coast Fl and his wife Blanca, a daughter Naomi Conant and her husband Douglass of Lewiston , Megan Leanne Berry of Missouri, and an adopted daughter Sharion Morin and her husband Adam of Lebanon Maine. Bob has 17 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren and a great grandchild due on his birthday April 1, 2019
There will be no funeral, he wanted a BBQ with family and friends for his celebration of life at a later date
