Obituary of Paul William Harriman
UNION — Paul William Harriman, beloved son, brother, uncle and friend passed away at the Sussman House in Rockport, surrounded by those who loved him most, on June 26, 2018.
Born in Haverhill, Mass. on July 2, 1959, Paul was the son of Herbert Harriman and Janis Tebbetts Harriman. He attended local schools and was a 1977 graduate of Medomak Valley High School in Waldoboro. After graduation he studied at the College of the Atlantic and The Boat School.
To know Paul was to love him. He was the life of the party wherever he went and was always quick with a dirty joke or good story. Even after the worst day, no one could help but smile when Paul was around. He had an easy way about him that made people want to be near him. This is evident by the countless people who considered him a friend and will deeply miss him.
Paul is survived by his father, Herbert Harriman and his wife, Vicki, his mother, Janis Harriman, his sister, Erica Harriman, all of Union; his sister, Jessica Lombardo and her husband, Paul; niece, Peyton, and nephew, Ryder, all of Rockport; and close family friend, Susi Clark. He is also survived by his aunts, uncles, cousins and many, many dear friends.
A gathering of family and friends will be held at the Rockland Elks Club July 15, 2018, at 1 p.m. in celebration of Paul's life.
Special thanks to everyone at the Sussman House for their support, patience understanding and their wonderful care of Paul.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the Sussman House, c/o Pen Bay Waldo Healthcare Foundation, 22 White Street, Rockland, ME 04841.
