Obituary of Thomas Smith
Thomas Ralph Smith passed away peacefully on February 18, 2018 after a long illness. He was born to Lorraine & Ralph Smith on Jan. 10, 1954 in Bar Harbor.
Tommy was a man that marched to the beat of his own drum; he was a talented musician & music was in his heart and soul. He was funny, complicated, intelligent, talented, & kind-hearted. He worked in seasonal jobs for many years and then later, as a fork-lift driver for Jasper Wyman & Sons. He loved his cabin, property and nature. He was happiest alone cutting wood, gardening, fishing & feeding critters.
He is survived by his sister Crystal King; niece Melissa West; a great-nephew & great- niece Owen & Emma Pletts ; also aunts Truth Whitten , Alice Grace, Sylvia Smith, Gerri Smith; and an uncle Horace Smith; special cousin Michelle Whitten Bierman and many others. He was predeceased by his parents, many aunts, uncles & cousins.
Memorial contributions can be made to The Ark Animal Shelter, 50 Barber Lane, Cherryfield. A graveside service will be announced in the spring.
