Charlotte H. Campbell, 83, went to be with the Lord on November 2, 2017. She resided at Island Nursing Home in Deer Isle, Me. Charlotte was daughter of the late Archie Sr. and Eva Hutchinson of Stonington, Maine. She had eight brothers and sisters. Charlotte's first husband was Donald G. Davis. They had two daughters together. Charlotte was predeceased by her parents; two brothers: Raymond Hutchinson and his wife, and Archie Hutchinson Jr.; two sisters: Margaret Haskell and her husband Clyde and Alfreda Hutchinson; and brother-in-law Edward Haskell. Charlotte leaves behind her daughters: Sheila Davis of Deer Isle and Eva Rose Davis of Bangor; two grandsons: Thomas Simmons and Gifford Proper III; four great-grandchildren: Wade, Samantha and Dominick Simmons and Gifford Proper IV; her siblings: Rose Gove and husband Andrew and Lila Haskell, all of Stonington, Judy Wingate and husband Edward of Brunswick, Ronald Hutchinson and wife Gail of Bucksport, sister-in-law Mary Hutchinson of Stonington; and many, many nieces, nephews and cousins. Anyone who ever saw or met Charlotte loved her. She had a wonderful smile and twinkling eyes. She was so soft spoken; has made many feel comforted in life with just her presence. She loved life so well. She will be sadly missed by all. She wishes for everyone to be comforted and know she is headed to be with God and has no more pain. We welcome all who knew Charlotte to join us at a Celebration of Life gathering at Community Church of Christ, Burnt Cove Road, Stonington, Maine on November 18, 2017 at 11am. Pastor David Davis of Sunshine Advent Church will be there for this time to speak words of love, friends, and joy of her life. The family will have a private burial. Arrangements are under the care of Direct Cremation of Maine, 182 Waldo Ave., Belfast. Memories and condolences may be shared at directcremationofmaine.com.
