Obituary of William Skidmore

William “Alan” Skidmore passed away on September 5, 2017 at the age of 69 while living in Chelsea, Maine. Alan graduated from Simsbury High School in 1966 and joined the United States Coast Guard and proudly served for 13 years. After that, he was an inspector with Hartford Steam Boiler until he retired. He leaves behind his son, Brian Skidmore, of New London, CT and his sister and her family: Susan and Robert Forsyth of East Hartland, CT and his nieces, Jean and Christine and their families. He also leaves behind a beloved friend, Shirley Hewes, of Chelsea, Maine. There are no calling hours and burial will be at the family’s convenience.
