Obituary of Joanne R Piasecki

Joanne Ruth Piasecki, 56, of Damariscotta, passed away on June 19, 2017. She was born on July 6, 1960 to Joseph and Rhoda (deHann) Piasecki in Greenwich, CT. She was raised there before moving to Salisbury, MD for 16 years. Most recently, she lived in Maine. Joanne worked as a Certified Nursing Assistant for 20 years. She loved her work and lit up a room when she walked in and made every resident feel loved and special. Joanne was predeceased by her parents and grandparents: Cora and Merle Gould, Karol deHaan, and Anthony and Mary Piasecki. She is survived by her brother Merle Piasecki and wife Karen of Norwalk, CT; sister Cora Layton and niece Nicole Rhoda Abbate both of Laurel, DE; and very dear friends, including former husband Joseph Drabeck of Nobleboro, Maine, Laura Lally of Fairfield, CT, Terri Davis of Gambrills, MD, and Lori Ambridge of Waldoboro, Maine. A private celebration of life will be held in Maine on July 15, 2017.
