Obituary of Marco Richard Cloutier
AUGUSTA – Marco Richard Cloutier, 57, of Augusta, passed away Sunday May 7, 2017 at Maine Medical Center in Portland after a brief illness.
Marco was born to Richard E. and Margaret A. (Wentworth) Cloutier on March 28, 1960 in Augusta. He attended Augusta schools and worked for many years in the family business – Al’s and Double R’s Taxi. He joined the Army National Guard at a young age and proudly served in the Reserves for many years.
He loved being in the outdoors – especially kayaking. He collected a variety of items including military antiques. He enjoyed attending auctions and getting a “good deal”.
Marco was predeceased by his paternal and maternal grandparents, his mother Margaret and a brother, Michael Cloutier. He is survived by his sons Joshua A. and Jacob M. Cloutier and his father Richard E. Cloutier, all of Augusta; six sisters and brothers: Roxanne Marquis and husband Paul, Robin Gagne, Myles Cloutier, Marlon Cloutier, Kiki Cloutier, and Roslin “Sugar” Yaede and husband David; as well as 69 nieces and nephews.
He will be deeply missed by his family and friends.
A private graveside service will be held at Mt. Hope Cemetery in Augusta at a later date.
