Obituary of Leland M. Brooks

Leland M. Brooks Jr AKA “Uncle Bud”, 61 passed away peacefully at Inland Hospital surrounded by his loving family, on March 22, 2017. He was born February 11, 1956 in Burnham, the son of Leland Sr. and Geraldine Brooks. He was employed by Ethan Allen, Pittsfield Woolen Mill and later as an electrician, where his son worked beside him to learn the trade. He enjoyed racing at Unity Raceway, where he won many races. As well as hunting, fishing, and woodworking, but his most enjoyment came from spending time with his grandchildren. He was predeceased by his father Leland Sr. He is survived by his loving and devoted wife Debbie of 42 years of Burnham, daughter Sara and fiancé Clint of Burnham, Son Jason and wife Julia, grandchildren Shayelyn AKA “ Brat1” and Jason Jr. AKA “ Buba Rowski” of Pittsfield. Mother Geraldine Brooks of Burnham, Brother Kelvin Brooks and Fiancé Andrea of Vassalboro, sister Gwen and husband Bill of Burnham, special nephew Wesley of Burnham, stepmother Mickey Brooks of Skowhegan and special four legged companions “peanut and PJ”. We are very thankful for having him in our lives for as long as we did. A celebration of life will be held on April 8th 2017 at the Burnham town Hall, starting at 2:00 PM. Services have been entrusted to Direct Cremation of Maine, 182 Waldo Ave., Belfast, ME 04915.
