Obituary of Stacey Andrea Hopkins

Stacey was born 2-17-1968 in Dexter and raised in Ripley. She was a 4-H'er and a Dexter Regional High Graduate, class of ‘87, enjoying being in chorus, school clubs and part of field hockey and softball teams. She attended Abbot Learning and Labor job trainings and Penobscot Job Corp. For two years, she worked at Hibbard’s Nursing Home. For a dozen years she resided in Newport, working at Palmyra’s Walmart. She was an avid fan of local, college and professional sports. Bravely, she battled cancer, passing 3-1-2017 at the family’s Ripley home. She was predeceased by her grandparents: Hadley and Sara and Robert and Arline Harris; her father Stephen and her Aunt Harriet. Survivors are her mother Sharon and younger brother Stewart of Ripley; her older brother Seth and wife Joyce and their children: Stephen, Hadley Jane, Alex and Ansley, all of Georgia; her Uncle John and cousin Elijah of Arizona and cousin Kathy of Hampden. Also surviving are her Aunt Crystal and Uncle Ray Lenzen of Nebraska and Lenzen cousins: Karen of California, Marie of Arizona, Renae and Paul of Kansas, and John, Rob and Beth of Nebraska. A burial will be scheduled with family in the future.
