Charles Emery Weeks, Jr., 85, of Anson, Maine passed away January 11, 2017, at Togus Springs Hospice Care.
Charles was born in Winthrop, Maine on Thursday, July 2, 1931, to the late Charles E. Weeks and Clara L. (Averill) Weeks. He grew up and lived in Manchester Maine for many years. Charles lived with his sister, husband and children for several years in Whitefield and for the last 10 years in the loving and caring home of Susan Picone and Fred Gist in Anson.

He greeted all he helped and met with a smile and a kind word. Many of whom he met over the years at Togus fondly remembered him in his final days as a “jewel” and “a lovely man”. Charles loved to garden, listen to classical music, attend church, help others and visit with family and friends. Charles lived a full and vital life wherever he lived and whatever he was doing. Charles will be missed by all that loved and knew him.
Charles was predeceased by his parents and a baby brother, Ralph. Charles is survived by his sister Eleanor L. Weeks-Hardcastle and her husband Jay of Boothbay Harbor; his niece Elizabeth Poulin and her husband Tim of Sidney; his nephew Alan Plummer of Winthrop; his grandnieces Brittany Bourgeois-Munzing and Aleena Plummer and his grandnephew Zachary Plummer, all of Hallowell.
Charles’s family wishes to thank the medical staff at Redington Fairview Hospital in Skowhegan and Togus Springs Hospice for the compassionate care for Charles during his final days. His family also wants to especially thank Susan and Fred for their loving care of Charles for so many years.
