Obituary of Dorothy Eleanor Davis

PALERMO - Dorothy Eleanor Deyoe Davis, 89, passed peacefully at Glenridge Nursing Home on December 22, 2015. She was born on November 22, 1926 in Washington, DC. Her parents were George C and Alice Crum Deyoe. She is survived by her loving husband of 66 years, Lester B. Davis, of Palermo, Maine. Along with her husband, Eleanor was surrounded by her loving children: Cheryl Anne Jones and her husband David, Glen Lester Davis and his long-time partner Pat Belanger, Sandra Lee Randall and her partner Sam Grenier, James Edward Davis and his wife Karen LePine Davis, all of Maine, and Bonnie Lynne Davis, and Kathy Jean Cheeseman and her husband David all of Florida. Eleanor has 28 grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren. In addition to being a wonderful mother of six children, Eleanor loved traveling, whether just down the road for an ice cream or across the sea to Europe. She enjoyed knitting, crocheting and gardening. Appreciation is extended to all of the staff at Glenridge Nursing Home. Remembrance may be given to Glenridge Nursing Home.
