Obituary of Jenna C Reese

BOWDOINHAM - Jenna (Murdock) Reese, of Bowdoinham, passed on in Auburn on Wednesday, Dec. 30, at the age of 34 after a long illness. Jenna was born in Waterville on Nov. 29, 1981, to her mother, Bonnie (Woellner) Murdock, and father, Scott Murdock, of Burnham. She was the first baby born in the newly created Mid Maine birthing center. She attended elementary and junior high school in Pittsfield and graduated from Maine Central Institute in 2000. As a teenager she spent a year living in Eastern Europe with her mother, stepfather and two brothers, and traveled with them to Greece, Turkey, Cyprus, Israel and Egypt. Her son Zachary Murdock was born in 2001 in Waterville, and her son Francis Reese IV was born in 2005, also in Waterville. The family later settled in Bowdoinham, and in recent years, Jenna lived with her sons in Bath before moving back to Bowdoinham this fall. Her father, Scott Murdock, of Burnham, died in 2006; grandfather George Murdock, of Unity, died in 2004, and grandfather Charles Woellner, of North Carolina, died in 2006. She is survived by her sons, who were her whole world, Zachary Murdock and Frank Reese, of Bowdoinham; mother, Bonnie Woellner, of Troy; stepfather, Dana Wilde, of Troy; brothers, Lucas Murdock, of Belfast, and Jackson Wilde, of Winslow; ex-husband, Joseph Reese, of Bowdoinham; grandmother Patricia Hazatone, of Hayward, Calif.; uncles John Hazatone and Stefan Hazatone, also of Hayward, Calif., and Chris Hazatone, of Burbank, Calif.; and grandmother Beverly Murdock, of Unity. A private memorial service for family and close friends will be scheduled later.
